Neural Precision: The Neurology Behind HVLA Joint Manipulations

Presentation Summary:
This presentation explores the neurological mechanisms that underlie HVLA (High Velocity, Low Amplitude) manipulations, revealing how targeted manipulations affect brain and nervous system function. Learn how to optimize patient outcomes by understanding the science of these techniques.

HVLA manipulations do more than align the spine—they influence the nervous system and brain function in profound ways. In this session, participants will explore the neurological science behind HVLA manipulations, understanding how specific manipulations affect neural pathways, proprioception, and overall nervous system function.

We will review the effects of HVLA on the central and peripheral nervous systems, including how they influence sensory processing, motor control, and balance. By diving into the neurology of these manipulations, practitioners will be able to enhance their techniques and better understand the profound impact their treatments have on patient health and recovery.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the neurological mechanisms of HVLA manipulations.
  2. Learn how HVLA manipulations influence both central and peripheral nervous system function.
  3. Explore how HVLA care impacts sensory processing, motor control, and proprioception.
  4. Implement strategies to optimize HVLA manipulations based on neurological insights.
  5. Enhance patient outcomes by applying a deeper understanding of the science behind HVLA techniques.
