In this session, participants will gain a deep understanding of concussion by exploring its definition, underlying mechanisms, and the process of accurate diagnosis. We will review the most recent findings from the Concussion in Sports Group's 2023 meeting in Amsterdam, along with the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine's updated 2023 diagnostic criteria for mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). These updates will provide a current and comprehensive framework for assessing and diagnosing concussions in clinical practice.

Through case studies and practical examples, we will discuss the importance of a thorough assessment process and introduce various diagnostic tools to minimize the risk of misdiagnosis. Attendees will also learn to recognize both immediate and delayed concussion symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of patients with head injuries.

This presentation is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking to refine their diagnostic skills and stay up-to-date with the latest standards in concussion care.
