In this session, participants will explore the six core domains of cognitive function: memory, attention, language, executive function, visual-spatial skills, and social cognition. Participants will gain insight into how cognition is fundamentally a product of accurate sensory integration, meaning that sensory processing must be restored first. Once sensory integration is resolved, more nuanced cognitive dysfunctions can be addressed effectively through targeted interventions.
This presentation will provide practical strategies for identifying dysfunctions across these domains and introduce evidence-based therapeutic approaches for cognitive rehabilitation. Clinicians will learn to implement these strategies in daily practice to enhance patient recovery and cognitive function, offering both assessment and correction of cognitive impairments with precision.
